About the project
EthioTrees is a community-led ecosystem restoration project established in 2016. For many years, the area was subjected to severe land degradation. The project will focus on reversing this land degradation through planting native trees, creating grazing exclosures, improving water management, and supporting sustainable livelihoods like frankincense and honey production, all while capturing and storing carbon in the soil and the trees.
