Klimate was founded in 2021 with the mission to help companies do not just the right thing, but also the smart thing, by providing access to high-quality, science-backed, and vetted carbon removal solutions necessary to make a dent in the climate challenge.

Headquartered in Copenhagen, we work with a global network of partners and clients. We are a team of experts each with our own specialties but motivated by the same thing: using business and technology to move the needle in the right direction to fight climate change.

Our founding team of Mads Emil Dalsgaard and Simon Bager, PhD bring this ethos to life, each bringing a unique background that helps our mission succeed. Mads Emil has strong experience in the start-up world as a previous founder and in fintech and Simon is bringing the proprietary knowledge with a decade’s experience advising on energy, climate, and sustainability issues.

In 2023, Klimate closed a seed funding round of €3.5million, led by future focused investors Eneco Ventures and Helen Ventures, with participation from existing Rockstart, EIFO, and The Footprint Firm.
