Exomad Green - Concepción

Exomad Green, a division of Exomad, is a Bolivian company focused on producing biochar from biomass waste. They convert wood residues into biochar, which is used to improve soil quality and help store carbon in the ground, reducing carbon emissions. In 2023, they launched their first biochar facility in Concepción, Bolivia, and they plan to expand with more facilities in the near future. Exomad Green’s goal is to increase its biochar production and contribute to environmental sustainability by reducing waste and helping with climate change efforts.

Exomad is a Bolivian producer of high-quality wood products, established as the country's top exporter of sustainable timber across a range of tropical hardwood species used in applications from decking and veneers to furniture and musical instruments. The company holds FSC certification, reflecting its commitment to responsible sourcing. Exomad Green is a division born out of this core business, created to find a productive use for the large volumes of wood residue generated across the local forestry and wood processing operations.
