Benefits of Project & Method

  • 60-year project timeline focused on carbon storage, community well-being, and biodiversity conservation.
  • Public-private partnership between Forest and Wildlife Department and Indus Delta Capital Ltd.
  • Follows Verra’s ICROA-endorsed methodology and holds CCB Triple Gold certification for climate, community, and biodiversity conservation.
  • The project maintains a 10% buffer pool of credits to mitigate risk. This is tracked on Verra's public registry for transparency.
  • The acres involved in the project area includes 60 villages, and 49,000 individuals. The project is set up to include these communities in decision making, implementation, awareness programs, and a stewardship agreement to provide income while fostering protection of natural resources. This creates potential for additional areas of income, specifically across gender, and set up long-term sustainable economies.
