Cortus Energy, founded in 2006, is a Swedish company focused on creating innovative technology for a more sustainable future. Their unique WoodRoll process transforms wood waste biomass into renewable energy products. This method not only generates clean energy but also produces biochar as a byproduct, which can be used to improve soil health and store carbon in the ground.

Biokolprodukter Global, established in 2019, is a Swedish company that partners with projects to help them improve their existing bioenergy facilities to simultaneously produce biochar. They specialise in the development and sale of biochar products aimed at enhancing soil quality and combating climate change. Their offerings include pure biochar, nutrient-enriched biochar blends, and machinery for biochar production.

• The biochar is stored in soils, which is permanently stored for 100+ years.
• Waste residues from the forestry and agricultural industry such as wood chips are used to produce the biochar.
